As of late
This first half of the semester has seriously flown by! I have done a terrible job of updating this blog. Midterms have come and gone, so has the warm weather and fall sports! Both of which make me sad, but the fun has never slowed down and for that I am so grateful.
We have had quite the eventful last couple months. Full of running, sports, Sunday dinners, game nights, dancing, late-night chatting and many emotional rollercoaster’s of sorts. I’m happy to say that I live in an apartment that is frequented by many friends from around campus.
We are a “party apartment” even on days that it’s just me and the six other girls whom I love so much. So much more than any of my words could really describe. Laughing, crying, wrestling, eating, and making messes that we happily clean up- all in a days work for the girls of 308. I’ve enjoyed being surrounded by people I love and that love me back.
It’s incredible how you can create a family with people who don’t share your gene pool.
i just recently got back from a school travel studies in the arts trip to LA. we went to a few different museums, the LACMA, Huntington Library, the Getty, the Getty Villa as well as to Hollywood, the Santa Monica Pier etc. I went with a group of 11 and i really only knew the three photo teachers that went. I had a great time, it was nice to get away on my own and to enjoy some SO Cal weather! My teachers were really fun too and i liked the other students. It was really fun to get to know people better and to watch my teachers photograph. On the way to Ceder City on our way home, we had a bathroom break (Me and Bro Clark requested it...of course!) and as we pulled off to the Shell station, we passed by an old broken down, abandoned motel. None of the photographers could resist and so here you have a few shots from my camera. Just a sampling mind you, and i didn't feel like editing yet so they are plain old "outta-the-camera-pics" for your enjoyment!
it was a blast. although, now i'm back in the snow. it's not too bad though because i know it's bringing me that much closer to snowboarding :) i like winter, i don't LOVE it, but definitely like it.

One week down!
Wow, I cannot believe how fast and long the average week at school can be, especially the first week (which isn't usually very average). It has been a good one, full of running, school, soccer, football, breakfast burritos (i'm still full...i'll need to make that an every once in a while kinda thing for sure.) and early morning temple trips. Oh yeah, and some good times on a shooting date, pulling catus spines out of Jessica's foot, long 15 milers, late night chats with loving friends etc. I love Rexburg, even on days that aren't great- I'm still glad that i am here.
:) Sculpting is fun and so is ceramic, they are just time consuming and take a lot of practice (which i didn't get in this weekend thanks to tearing up my palm when i fell on my run. Rexburg's road's need some TLC)
