a rather large slice of everything

happy thanksgiving! on tuesday, nick and i drove down from school to riverton while the rest of our clan made the long journey from fairfield all through the night. it has been fun to be here with family, and more pictures will come soon. (first i need to stop being lazy and get the canon out!) last night i went to provo to visit hanna and chris, who i hadn't hugged or seen since their wedding on August 5th! chris had work as a teacher at the MTC so i hung out and caught up with hanna then we went to dinner at Tucano's with her family. it was so fun to see them! i've missed my friends from home a ton. it's so odd but so normal, (if that makes sense!) to see her and chris all married and stuff.
and did i mention that Tucano's is SOOO good!? it's a Brazilian meat/buffet style fancy eatery! i got some practice stretching out my stomach for some turkey in two hours!
here are two photos of my shooting large format 4x5 for my BFA. This is Elmo Seeley, my good friend Jason's grandpa. He's almost 90 years old and still cooking some mean country style dinners :) did i mention that he served in WWII?

lately, all of us have been obsessed with playing 'murder in the dark' at the vivant building that our FHE brother's have a key to. Here you have a mass murder, Letty, then me then Catherine. We were busy tickling Jason in the dark when he killed all three of us.
 trust no one!

Roommate Photos- Fab Six for Life- Fall 2011

As of late

This first half of the semester has seriously flown by! I have done a terrible job of updating this blog. Midterms have come and gone, so has the warm weather and fall sports! Both of which make me sad, but the fun has never slowed down and for that I am so grateful.
We have had quite the eventful last couple months. Full of running, sports, Sunday dinners, game nights, dancing, late-night chatting and many emotional rollercoaster’s of sorts. I’m happy to say that I live in an apartment that is frequented by many friends from around campus.
We are a “party apartment” even on days that it’s just me and the six other girls whom I love so much. So much more than any of my words could really describe. Laughing, crying, wrestling, eating, and making messes that we happily clean up- all in a days work for the girls of 308. I’ve enjoyed being surrounded by people I love and that love me back.
It’s incredible how you can create a family with people who don’t share your gene pool.

i just recently got back from a school travel studies in the arts trip to LA. we went to a few different museums, the LACMA, Huntington Library, the Getty, the Getty Villa as well as to Hollywood, the Santa Monica Pier etc. I went with a group of 11 and i really only knew the three photo teachers that went. I had a great time, it was nice to get away on my own and to enjoy some SO Cal weather! My teachers were really fun too and i liked the other students. It was really fun to get to know people better and to watch my teachers photograph. On the way to Ceder City on our way home, we had a bathroom break (Me and Bro Clark requested it...of course!) and as we pulled off to the Shell station, we passed by an old broken down, abandoned motel. None of the photographers could resist and so here you have a few shots from my camera. Just a sampling mind you, and i didn't feel like editing yet so they are plain old "outta-the-camera-pics" for your enjoyment!

it was a blast. although, now i'm back in the snow. it's not too bad though because i know it's bringing me that much closer to snowboarding :) i like winter, i don't LOVE it, but definitely like it.

xoxo
